Find Out MoreWhat does your job involve?
Good question...source new business, manage client projects and requests, liaise with staff and business partners...watch the stock market erode my super!
What's your favourite thing about working here?
Being master of my own destiny. Interacting with a variety of businesses and clients, meeting new people, experiencing new marketing opportunities and IT solutions and developing new and innovative marketing communication initiatives.
What is your background?
Economics graduate, Product/Marketing Mgr at CIG, Black & Decker and Creative Marketing before establishing a partnership to launch Origination CRM.
What were the last 3 songs you listened to?
What was the last movie you saw?
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Prior to that was Warhorse...worth a look but the live theatre production in London was better.
What do you do for fun outside of Origination?
I play tennis once a week. I'm a keen golfer, playing every Saturday morning and look forward to regular weekend golf trips away with my mates.
If I'm not on the golf course then enjoying a nice bottle of wine at a great restaurant or a Jack Daniels whilst tending the BBQ is a great way to spend a few hours.
When the opportunity arises, Vicki and I love to travel. In the footy season, I like to head to the MCG or Etihad to cheer on the mighty Bombers. And when it's time to just relax, I enjoy playing with our 2 dogs and cat especially the new addition...Tayla the Lahsa Apso.
Tell me 3 fun facts about yourself.
If you could pick one superpower, invisibility or flying, which would you pick? Why?
Why? If I could have a superpower, I think it would be flying as I get a little jack of sitting around airports waiting for planes or stuck in traffic twice a day.
What does your job involve?
Essentially it is a coordination and juggling role - managing all aspects of each of my clients' needs, regardless of the size or scope of the task.
What's your favourite thing about working here?
Working with and achieving successful outcomes for my clients. With a number of long term client relationships, it's satisfying to continually aim to raise the bar, whether it's working together on a small once-off job, or developing and implementing a major, ongoing project.
What is your background?
Having been born in England, I spent an idyllic childhood growing up in Kuwait, before my family emigrated to Australia in 1981.
Finishing secondary school at a public high school, I was originally planning to go to secretarial college to follow in my mum's footsteps as a personal assistant. Fortunately, I was talked into aiming higher and headed off to University to complete a business degree.
Discovering 'Marketing', I proceeded to complete every available unit and major in marketing! I was offered a Graduate Trainee position with NAB via on-campus interviews and apart from less than 12 months off when I had my son 10 years ago now, I've worked full time ever since.
After 7 years with NAB, I moved on to spend less than 12 months in an account management role at a mailhouse. Looking to spread my wings, I secured my first agency role with a small below-the-line agency which was soon gobbled up by the far larger George Patterson Bates.
A few years at DDB Rapp Collins followed, before I 'downsized' to take on a new challenge in the role of AutoPartners program manager at Origination CRM. Nearly 13 years later, I'm still here!
While I am a stayer by nature and moved off the AutoPartners business many years ago, the changing landscape in marketing, constantly evolving technology and methods, as well as the advent of such things as social media, have meant learning new things has kept me fresh and excited about the challenges ahead.
What were the last 3 songs you listened to?
What was the last movie you saw?
Ice Age: Continental Drift in 3-D - I'm not a regular movie goer, but enjoy taking my 10yo along to see the latest animated 3-D offering!
What do you do for fun outside of Origination?
I'm an avid "armchair" sports fan of most sports, love following my Bombers and am addicted to AFL Dream Team. I also find gardening relaxing - though I sometimes wish my 'green thumb' was better developed.
Tell me 3 fun facts about yourself.
If you could pick one superpower, invisibility or flying, which would you pick? Why?
Definitely invisibility - see above fact 2 re flying!
What does your job involve?
My day to day duties vary depending on what projects we're working on at any given time. I could be involved in event management for projects like a client's annual conference or helping to build trade display stands, briefing the studio to design ads and posters, assisting with the preparation of presentations to prospective clients, or coordinating our latest IT upgrades.
What's your favourite thing about working here?
It's a fun place to work, with space to be yourself. I love working in a boutique company where I can really see the impact of my efforts in a short period of time, and make a difference to the organisation.
What is your background?
I completed a double degree of Science and Law at the University of Melbourne in 2007, and after that worked as a lawyer both in Melbourne and in London until November 2012 when I decided to take a break from the law and do something a bit different.
What were the last 3 songs you listened to?
What was the last movie you saw?
Now You See Me.
What do you do for fun outside of Origination?
A bit of everything I guess. I go to boxing training, go snowboarding, hiking, hang out with friends, read books, and watch movies - I love trying new things, so who knows, next weekend I might be trying some rock climbing, working on my cooking skills (still a little basic), or learning a new language!
Tell me 3 fun facts about yourself.
If you could pick one superpower, invisibility or flying, which would you pick? Why?
I think I'd have to choose flying, to make it easier to get around and save money on petrol and public transport.

What does your job involve?
I do lots of stuff… Graphic Design and Finished Art for print based projects, Web Design, UI Design and Flash Animation for digital projects.
During peak periods I coordinate external resources and freelance staff and look after the creative workflow through studio management and project planning (WIP).
What's your favourite thing about working here?
It would definitely be the variety of the projects we work on for our clients. From Press & Magazine ads, POS, Catalogues, Brochures etc. through to Websites, email newsletters - No two jobs are the same.
What does your job involve?
Coming up with creative concepts and designs for brochures, newsletters and other communication items ( to solve client's communication problems). This creative process can include hand drawn initial thumbnail concept/ideas, through to producing the final design on the computer and may also include producing a final colour mock-up of final item.
Also, I do production duties, organising print quotes, sourcing/researching suppliers for particular job requirements. My production duties include keeping track of the job from initial brief to final delivery.
What's your favourite thing about working here?
I like the challenges of solving communication problems and getting to see the final item in print. Especially, seeing the final printed packaging items displayed in stores.
What is your background?
Always liked to draw when I was young. Decided on becoming a Graphic designer late in year 11 at high school. One of my high school friends mentioned he had a brother who was a designer. Really enjoyed the design course at RMIT, building up my skills and going away on Illustration camps.
What were the last 3 songs you listened to?
What was the last movie you saw?
The Kings Speech (very good, enjoyed it a lot)
What do you do for fun outside of Origination?
Member of a local Toastmasters Club and do Pilates (previously played Squash and Basketball)
Tell me 3 fun facts about yourself.
If you could pick one superpower, invisibility or flying, which would you pick? Why?
I would have to pick invisibility, so I could get into places for free. I am not good with heights, so flying wouldn't suit.
What does your job involve?
Copywriting involves a lot more than just tapping away on the keyboard…although I do a lot of that too, of course! A lot of my time is spent researching stories, people, issues and products, conducting interviews, editing and proofreading, fact checking, liaising with others involved in the creative process and of course writing and re-writing…and re-writing…re-working words until they sound just right and communicate the desired message perfectly.
What's your favourite thing about working here?
I love the people at Origination CRM. The team are highly professional and good at what they do! It’s a privilege to contribute to Origination CRM projects because they are always so well conceived, planned and executed.
I enjoy the variety of copywriting projects as well. Through Origination CRM I’ve written about steel, scaffolding, paint, automotive products, door furniture, training, business practices, conferences and more. I really love speaking to people from different sectors and contributing the words to some fabulous publications and websites.
What is your background?
I loved writing at school and English was definitely my best subject! I majored in English in my Bachelor of Arts and writing was also a key focus in subsequent qualifications (Dip Ed and Grad Cert in PR). After working as an in-house PR and marketing manager, my writing career really kicked off in 2003. Since then, I have enjoyed working as a copywriter, journalist and editor for a number of organisations.
What were the last 3 songs you listened to?
What was the last movie you saw?
A James Bond film. Can’t remember the name (is that bad?)
What do you do for fun outside of Origination?
un? With a busy professional schedule and three children, I’m just happy if I make it through each day! When I can, I love going out for dinner with my gorgeous hubbie, Jon.
Tell me 3 fun facts about yourself.
If you could pick one superpower, invisibility or flying, which would you pick? Why?
Definitely flying. My earliest memory is of a dream I had when I was about two years old, that I could fly. It seemed so easy and fun!
What does your job involve?
In the mornings I am a dad, getting the kids ready for school. After that my day revolves around solving brand communication problems for our clients, coming up with creative ideas and then bringing them to life. This involves a lot of doodling on paper and then using the computer to bring them to life. I do spend time with the team talking about projects, brainstorming and problem solving. What I love the most is that every day is never the same.
What's your favourite thing about working here?
I love working with these guys, they are crazy, calm, relaxed, stressed, serious, funny, all at the same time. What I love the most is the atmosphere. There is a relaxed sense of purpose and we all work together to get things done.
What is your background?
I come from an Italian background. My first job was as a bank teller, after a year I figured out it wasn’t for me. I then decided to get in to graphic design and I have been doing it ever since.
What were the last 3 songs you listened to?
What was the last movie you saw?
The Man of Steel, It wasn’t for me, my son wanted to go… Really he did. Who am I kidding, I love Superman.
What do you do for fun outside of Origination?
I like playing with my kids, photography, going to classic car shows and travel when time and money permit.
Tell me 3 fun facts about yourself.
If you could pick one superpower, invisibility or flying, which would you pick? Why?
Invisibility sounds good but there is a catch, can you switch it on when you want, do your clothes also become invisible and if they don’t then depending on the weather it can get really cold… forget about being naked, what about the no shoe thing, you saw “DIE HARD” need I say more. So knowing all that I think I will go for flying, not the Birdman flying with the massive wings, but the Superman flying where you look up with purpose and off you go.
What does your job involve?
I maintain, update and create the applications that Origination use, internally, and create on behalf of clients.
My favourite thing about working at Origination is definitely the friendly, easy going nature of everyone at the office. It is a pleasure to walk into the office.
I spent 10+ years writing software for the health industry, leading a team of six (developers and testers). 18/24 months ago I made the decision to head out on my own and try contracting. In that time I have already done a number of interesting projects, including a number of native mobile applications.
What were the last 3 songs you listened to?
EPIC! As parents we don't get much time for ourselves, let alone get out to the cinemas. Unless of course the kids come with us, hence we all went to see EPIC during the last school holidays.
During the summer most weekends you will find me out in the burning sun, for hours on end, playing cricket. If I am not playing, I will be watching it.
During the winter I follow the Richmond Tigers.
I would choose flying, the ability to get somewhere quickly in this day and age has to be a Super superpower!
Woric is true geek who has been building websites and developing databases for almost 20 years. He's an avid cyclist and rides rain, hail or 40 degree days.
He often arrives at the office either melting from a scorching summer's day or soaked from a downpour. Originally from Sydney, he has been living in Melbourne for the last 10 years and working at Origination for most of them.
What does your job involve?
I head up all front end web development, as well as building sites and applications using PHP. From time to time, I like to test out my creative skills by designing interfaces.
What's your favourite thing about working here?
It would have to be the staff - I've never worked with a friendlier, warm-hearted bunch of people.
What is your background?
Embracing technology at the young age of 12, I first attempted to create my own 2-D RPG game in Visual Basic. After getting a taste of design and code, I began to learn about the Internet and how to build basic websites.
As I learnt more and more, I sought out bigger challenges, writing small applications utilising PHP and MySQL. Before I knew it, I was dreaming about code in my sleep.
At the age of 17, I was starting to realise I could turn my passion into a career, so I enrolled to get my certifications. Whilst studying, I started my own business, Blackmaze Creative, and began working on commercial projects and with digital agencies.
I also created Integrate CMS, which is a powerful and intuitive content management system developed using PHP.
Over 10 years later, I am a super-skilled developer at Origination CRM and continue to seek out the next interesting project where I can run wild with my ideas and creativity to produce something epic!
What were the last 3 songs you listened to?
What was the last movie you saw?
The Internship. It was an interesting insight into the land of "Google" and the general view of developers.
What do you do for fun outside of Origination?
I love writing music and playing guitar and taking my Hilux off-road to find some challenging tracks to drive. I also like to blog about web technologies on my personal site DanielCharman.com.
Tell me 3 fun facts about yourself.
If you could pick one superpower, invisibility or flying, which would you pick? Why?
Flying - It'd make commuting a breeze, that's for sure.
